Music
In 2007, GRPR extended its publicity coverage of entertainment to music projects. This is a natural extension of GRPR’s commitment to and love of story since many songs are simply stories set to music. Publishing houses recognize this as well, as evidenced by Thomas Nelson Publisher’s two “Live Like You Were Dying” books based on the hit Tim McGraw single of the same title. Authors recognize it, too, creating entire playlists for their characters on iPods – music that helps them better develop characters and mood.
The synergy between music and story at the creation stage means there’s also a synergy between the two at the promotional stage. Publicists geared toward entertainment-related publicity naturally gravitate toward music as well. And that makes for a publicist who is uniquely suited to represent both the song’s story and the story behind the song – the artist.
If you have an upcoming musical project releasing or are planning a tour, we would love to help you get the word out. Fees vary depending upon length of project, so please email our Senior Publicity Coordinator of the Music Division, LeAnn Moorhead, for more information.
